the monthly rest ritual
This isn’t just a yoga class.
It’s a gentle pause in your month: a place to slow down, soften, and get curious about your relationship with rest.
Because rest isn’t always easy. Sometimes it’s uncomfortable, messy, or full of guilt.
That’s part of the practice, learning to be with what’s real and letting your body lead you back home.
Next rest ritual: May 17th | 90 minutes | Online via Google Meet
Sliding‑scale $35-$50 CAD, with recording available.
Each month, we gather for a guided practice of rest and mindfulness, a blend of slow movement, stillness, and honest reflection.
You’ll receive gentle prompts and “before‑we‑meet” touchpoints to help you transition out of the noise of daily life and into something quieter.
This is your space to practice rest not as a performance, but as a conversation with yourself.
what this is
A 90-minute monthly ritual intentionally crafted to help you:
Exhale more deeply (physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually)
Reconnect to your body and breath
Explore what rest actually feels like for you
Gently build a relationship with stillness over time
We’ll move, breathe, pause, and listen.
Not to fix anything or to optimize you to do more or be more efficient, but to meet and care for yourself, deeply.
when and where
The next three monthly rest rituals are on Sundays:
April 19th (we rested)
May 17th
June 28th
90 minutes | Live on Google Meet
Starts at 2pm EDT (Toronto/New York) | 7pm BST (UK/Portugal) | 8pm CEST (Germany/Sweden)
Come as you are. Camera on or off. Fully here or quietly in the background, it all belongs. And, yes, there will be a recording!
what’s included / how this works
The Monthly Rest Ritual unfolds gently across three phases, a rhythm that supports you before, during, and after we meet. This is more than a single session, it’s a full monthly experience.
✧ Before we meet (1 week prior)
You’ll receive a few intentional touchpoints: a reflection theme, a simple ritual prompt, maybe a short audio or breath practice.
They’re not homework. They’re small invitations to start softening into rest, one moment at a time.
✧ The live ritual (90 minutes)
We meet for 90-minutes online as a community of kind humans learning to rest together. Each ritual includes:
Guided slow movement through yin and restorative yoga (no experience required)
Restorative, supported shapes
A mindfulness meditation and close intuitive rest practice
Space to quietly journal or integrate
It’s not about doing rest “right.” It’s about noticing what unfolds when you give yourself permission to pause.
✧ after the ritual
You’ll receive the full replay, playlist and your reflection prompts to return to anytime.
Many people revisit the recording when they need another pocket of rest later in the month.
(sliding scale $35 - $50 CAD — recording included if you can’t attend live)
who this is for
This is for you if:
You want something deeper and more sacred than just a class (even though classes are great!)
You’re curious about rest, but not always comfortable with it
You want to take care of yourself beyond the mat
You’re open to what might come up when things get quiet
You don’t have to be “good” at resting. You just have to be willing to experience and explore.
a note on rest
Rest is a relationship. And like any relationship, it takes: time, experimenting, getting to know each other and being open to what you might find.
Some days it will feel nourishing. Some days it might feel edgy, emotional, or unfamiliar. It might even feel uncomfortable AF.
A lot can surface in stillness. Not because something is wrong, but because you’re finally giving it space.
Why I created this - why this structure and why now
I didn’t create this because I mastered rest (lol, can anyone really “master it”???)
I created it because I had to learn it, slowly, imperfectly, and honestly.
My recent health challenges forced me to re-examine my relationship to stress and rest.
They were invitations I didn’t ask for. Invitations to stop pushing. To listen more closely. To be honest with myself about whether what I was doing was actually rest, or just lying down overthinking (iykyk).
Rest isn’t something you earn once everything is done or that you’ll rest when you have time, it’s something your nervous system needs on a regular, consistent basis.
And at first, it wasn’t peaceful. Sometimes it still isn’t!
Rest feels uncomfortable. Sometimes frustrating. Often times even emotional.
But underneath that, there was something deeper:
Clarity.
Softness.
A different kind of strength.
Not the kind that comes from pushing through, but the kind that comes from actually being with yourself.
The monthly rest ritual is an extension of that.
It’s not a promise that everything will feel good, but its a promise to create intentional space to slow down, be curious, practice ease and give yourself the opportunity to rest. Because, let’s be real - when was the last time you gave yourself permission to slow down and take care of yourself? And how often do you do it?
It’s a place to get curious, to practice, to build a relationship with rest that’s real and ever changing; not performative and definitely something deeper than bubble baths.

If you’re wondering…
Instead of a traditional FAQ, here’s what I found myself sitting with while I was creating this offering:
What if rest isn’t something to master but something to be open and curious about?
What if discomfort in stillness is normal?
What if we didn’t rush the process?
What if we created space for what’s real, not just what’s easy?
If those questions resonate, you’ll likely feel at home here.
And if you have questions before you sign up, email me at hello@victorianhan.com.
You don’t have to go all in on “deep inner work.” But if part of you is quietly asking for more… more space, more honesty, more care, more ease… this might be a place to begin.
