In March 2016, I quit my job (as an administrator for a non-profit), gave up my apartment in the heart of Toronto, sold my belongings, packed some essential items, and set off to wander the world; to explore different ways of being.
Through my travels I’ve learned that transformation occurs outside your comfort zone. While making slow journeys through Southeast Asia and Australia, I discovered that yoga, mindfulness and Reiki are all modalities that enhance life - not just a practice for the mat.
My mindfulness practice is based on the Zen Buddhist teachings of the Vietnamese monk Thich Nhat Hanh and the Plum Village spiritual community and part of this practice is bringing it into all aspects of my life, on and off the mat, from teaching to daily activities like answering emails :)
The practice changed my life, and now I couldn't imagine doing anything else but sharing it! I share the practice through group drop in classes, private classes, masterclasses & workshops and am part of a 200-hr teacher training team.
My practice revolves around the simple question: "how can we live life with more love, peace, and joy?"
