What is yin yoga:

In yin yoga we slow it down and hold poses for anywhere between 1 - 5 minutes. This style focuses on deeply stretching the fascia, connective tissue in the body and activates the meridian (energy) lines. There isn't much movement in yin, instead we focus more on the breath to create space and let props support us.

Yin is great for letting go of tension, increasing flexibility, strengthening joints and calming the mind. Yin is also a great balance to other dynamic (yang) practices you might participate in like cardio, core work, vinyasa or ashtanga yoga. It offers the yin to our yang (busy/doing) lives!

What students say:

"Victoria’s yin classes give me a feeling of peace, balance and grounding. Her classes are not only about the poses but mindfulness and nourishing the body. So when I say I’m off to Vietnam, see you in an hour, this makes me a better person.” ~ Pru, Melbourne, AU

“Victoria has a calm presence whether it’s yoga or meditation or her own insights, wisdoms and shared teachings. I highly recommend her.”" ~ Lynne, Toronto, CA

“The yin classes keep me present and calm for a week!” ~ Alex, Dubai, UAE

About Victoria

Victoria Nhan is a coach, facilitator, mentor and intuitive guide who focuses on empowering people to shift stories, embody deep self trust and own their magic + authenticity without guilt, fear or shame.

As a Vietnamese-Chinese-Canadian and daughter of refugees, I often found myself navigating multiple identities and dynamics.

This often meant, in my attempt to be seen, heard and valued, that I would have the tendency to need to be in control. I was a perfectionist workaholic who strived to please everyone around her, while simultaneously pushing her own needs and discomfort aside.

It wasn't until I listened to my intuition and left my career, apartment, family and friends behind in Toronto to explore different ways of being that I started to embrace all parts of who I am.

Contrary to what movies like Eat, Pray love say... answers don't come to you on some tropical island... the answers I wanted were all inward.

Courage, confidence, self trust, and the boldness of living my life, my way came after I de-conditioned who I thought I “should be” to embrace who I actually am.

Having worked with thousands of clients, I offer knowledge, wisdom, and life experiences from my heart to show you that when you courageously put yourself first, when you learn to connect to yourself, you can have all that you want in life and work.

Originally from Toronto, Canada, I have travelled and lived in different parts of the world including Australia and Vietnam. Having most recently left Vietnam after 5 years there, I am currently exploring my wildest dreams in Europe.

As a student of life on a journey of connection and understanding, I enjoy floating in the ocean, delicious green and leafy herbs, and my coffee black. I am also the Founder of Yoga in Vietnam, Vietnam's leading digital platform for yoga and wellness.
